I am a seasoned Psychologist with over 20+ years of community mental health, private practice and organizational experience. Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of children, adults and families in a variety of mental health settings in the Bay Area. In addition to 15+ years in private practice settings, I have worked in leadership positions for Seneca Family of Agencies and A Better Way, Inc. both prominent East Bay Child and Family organizations. I currently work as a part-time staff Psychologist with Kaiser Permanente’s Child and Family Department of Psychiatry, where I provide assessment and therapeutic services to children and families.
In addition to my work with children and families, I have provided psychotherapy to adults and have contracted with UC Berkeley for 15+ years to provide psychotherapy to UC Berkeley students at the graduate and undergraduate level.
How I Practice
Throughout my 20 years of professional practice and training, I have utilized the PCIT (Parent-Child-Interaction-Therapy) model to help parents and families achieve harmony and stability by decreasing disruptive behaviors in young children and increasing the positive attachment and relationship that parents experience with their children. The PCIT model involves live coaching through direct observation and “bug in the ear” coaching for parents. I provide coaching and support, inspired by the PCIT model.
